DINE
Cosme
{Flatiron}
This modern, dark and warm new restaurant brings Latin heat to the Flatiron. Be adventurous with your cocktail and request a Scoville Sour, where you request your type of pepper (the mild was pretty spicy) Cascabel, Guajillo, Arbol-infused Siete Leguas, lemon juice, agave and spiced cucumber. Food highlights include the tender lobster pibil with chorizo and a smooth black bean puree. Other choices, such as duck carnitas with tomatillo, chile de arbol satisfy on many levels. While the menu says it’s for two, it could serve four, as it is incredibly rich and sweet from the skin when rolled in the tortilla. Finish with husk meringue, a corn mousse you’ll probably fight over.

DINE
Jean Georges
{Midtown}
Opened in 1997, Jean Georges is a perennial fixture in the New York City dining scene for good reason. What sets it apart is its approachability. Despite having three Michelin stars and four stars from the New York Times, the atmosphere is relaxed and even lively at times. Choose between a three-course prix-fixe menu or a six-course tasting menu, and give into the chic environment, incredible service, and seasonal food to come.
